Germany's Frodeno wins triathlon at the wire
BEIJING (AP) Jan Frodeno was running with the leaders near the end of the Olympic triathlon - but he had some daunting company.
Favorite Javier Gomez was even with him. So was 2004 silver medalist Bevan Docherty. Simon Whitfield, who won gold in 2000, was immediately behind.
"I just tried to focus and not read their names," Frodeno said.
