Analysis: Predators general manager David Poile said he was informed Wednesday that the KHL had agreed to the NHL's request for binding arbitration. The NHL Board of Governors discussed the Radulov situation Tuesday during a meeting in Toronto. When and where the arbitration occurs still must be agreed upon. NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly said the KHL wants the arbitration to take place in Russia among several other conditions described as "unacceptable."

Analysis: The 22-year-old Radulov had a season left on his entry level contract with the Predators, but signed a contract with a Russian KHL team. The Predators had given Radulov, their third-leading scorer last season with 58 points, until Monday to let them know if he decided to rejoin the team in time for the upcoming season.

Analysis: Nashville is hoping the International Ice Hockey Federation, along with the support of the NHL, can put pressure on the Russian Continental Hockey League to void the right wing's contract with the Russian team. If Radulov is held to the deal with Salavat Yulaev Ufa, the Predators would be left with a big hole that could be filled by jumping back into the free-agent market, making a trade or allowing the prospects to pick up the slack.
