Analysis: Lopez broke his fifth metatarsal - the long bone on the outside of his foot that connects to the little toe - in the second half of an intrasquad scrimmage. A screw was inserted in Lopez's foot. Lopez, picked 15th overall by the Suns in the 2008 NBA draft, averaged three points and two rebounds in 60 games as a rookie last season.
