Billups spent most of Thursday in the office of the Pistons' training staff, and plans to spend most of Friday there too as he hopes to get ready to play in Saturday's Game 4 against Orlando. He was injured Wednesday when his feet got caught up with Magic guard Jameer Nelson on a drive to the basket four minutes into Game 3, which Detroit lost 111-86.

5/7/2008 Marvin Williams, G/F (Atl) News: League Suspension - One game for fouling R Rando on 5/4
Williams was suspended one game without pay for committing a flagrant foul against the Celtics' Rajon Rondo in the Hawks' Game 7 playoff loss in Boston.

5/2/2008 Darius Songaila, PF (Was) News: League Suspension - One game for striking L James on 4/30
Songaila has been suspended one game for striking Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James in the face with his hand, and will sit out Friday night's Game 6 of the playoff series.

4/16/2008 Royal Ivey, G/F (Mil) News: League Suspension - three games, for conduct in 4/14 game
Ivey was suspended three games by the NBA on Wednesday for punching Chicago's Aaron Gray in the groin. Ivey will miss the Bucks' season finale against Minnesota on Wednesday and the first two regular-season games he is eligible to play next season.

4/6/2008 Joel Przybilla, C (Por) Injury: Broken bone in right hand
Przybilla broke a bone in his right hand during the second quarter of Portland's game against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday. The Blazers said he will miss the team's final five games.

4/5/2008 Brad Miller, C (Sac) Injury: leg
Miller missed his second straight game Sunday with a lower leg strain. He's day-to-day.

4/3/2008 Martell Webster, G/F (Por) Injury: Flu-like symptoms, dizziness
The Blazers were without Webster for Sunday's 72-65 loss to visiting San Antonio. He suited up for Portland's loss to Houston on Thursday night, but experienced dizziness and flu-like symptoms and was taken to a hospital. Webster spent the night when doctors found an irregular heartbeat and he was not at Sunday's game. He was expected to be examined by the Blazers' cardiologist early this week.

4/2/2008 Yi Jianlian, PF (Mil) Injury: Sprained left knee
Yi will miss the final eight games of the regular season with a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee. The Bucks made the announcement Friday night before their game against the Indiana Pacers.

4/1/2008 Brian Cook, PF (Orl) Injury: Broken right finger - out 2 weeks
Cook could miss up to two weeks after breaking his right middle finger in practice Monday. The Magic said Monday that Cook would rest 10 to 14 days, then be re-evaluated.

3/31/2008 Chris Kaman, C (LAC) Injury: Sprained right ankle
The Clippers lost 93-86 to Dallas on Monday, and played the final three quarters without Kaman after he sprained his right ankle with 26 seconds left in the first. He is listed day-to-day.

3/29/2008 Drew Gooden, PF (Chi) Injury: Abdominal strain
Gooden will miss the remainder of the season because of a lower abdominal strain, interim coach Jim Boylan said.

3/24/2008 Chris Wilcox, F/C (Sea) Injury: Sprained right pinky finger
Wilcox will miss the remainder of the season with a dislocated finger on his right hand. Wilcox originally dislocated a joint on the little finger of his hand at Phoenix on Jan. 3. He aggravated the injury against the Suns on March 19. The five-year veteran appeared in 62 games this season, averaging 13.4 points and seven rebounds in 28 minutes per game.

3/19/2008 Shawn Marion, F (Mia) Injury: Sore back
Marion hasn't played since March 18 in a win at Milwaukee due to a sore back. He is listed day-to-day.

3/11/2008 Eric Snow, PG (Cle) Injury: Left knee soreness - out 4-6 weeks
Snow hasn't played since damaging tissue in his knee in late February and he recently admitted that his playing career may have come to an end. "I’ve probably played my last game," Snow told the Detroit Free-Press. He has one year left on his contract, but might retire early and seek a position as a coach.

3/11/2008 Sebastian Telfair, PG (Min) Injury: Ankle sprain
Coach Randy Wittman said he doesn't know if Telfair will return to action before the season ends. He has already missed the past 15 games, including Sunday's 113-101 home loss to Memphis, since injuring his ankle March 7 at Sacramento.

3/10/2008 Dwyane Wade, G (Mia) Injury: Left knee rehab - out for season
Heat coach Pat Riley announced Monday that Wade, the All-Star guard and 2006 NBA finals MVP who has battled left knee pain throughout the season, will not play in Miami's final 21 games this year.

3/8/2008 Eddy Curry, C (NY) Injury: Torn cartilage in right knee
Curry will have arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, ending his disappointing season. Curry will have a piece of torn cartilage removed next week, the Knicks said Friday. Recovery time is expected to be four to six weeks.

3/3/2008 Dorell Wright, G/F (Mia) Injury: Knee surgery - out for season
Wright will be out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury. the Sacramento Kings. The Heat said Wright would be in a straight-leg brace for one month, and will begin rehabilitation immediately. The 22-year-old Wright averaged career-bests of 7.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 25.2 minutes in 43 games this season, plus hit 49 percent of his shots, the best mark of his four seasons.

Yao is out for the season with a stress fracture in his left foot. His recovery time is expected to be about four months.

2/22/2008 Robert Swift, C (Sea) Injury: Torn meniscus - out for season
Swift is headed for another knee surgery and is likely out for the season after playing in just eight games. The 7-footer, who had been slow to recover from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee that cost him all of last season, will undergo surgery March 4 to repair a torn lateral meniscus in the same knee.

2/9/2008 Jamaal Tinsley, PG (Ind) Injury: Sore left knee
Tinsley sat out Tuesday's 114-107 home victory over Seattle. He has missed 18 of the last 21 games with a sore left knee, and remains listed day-to-day.

1/21/2008 Trevor Ariza, SF (LAL) Injury: broken right foot
Ariza won’t play in any of the Lakers' final six regular-season games. Ariza has missed 38 games with a broken right foot, and doctors have asked the coaching staff not to have him run yet. He’ll have another diagnostic test to see if the fracture is completely gone before he is given clearance.

Bynum ran on a treadmill Tuesday for the first time since injuring his left knee two months ago. The Lakers said they won't rush his recovery, and team spokesman John Black said no timetable has been set for Bynum's return.

Mourning tore the patellar tendon in his right knee in a collision with Atlanta's Mario West in the first quarter on Wednesday night.

12/11/2007 Jorge Garbajosa, F/C (Tor) Injury: Left leg surgery - out 10 weeks
Garbajosa underwent surgery on his left leg Tuesday and will be off it for at least 10 weeks. No timetable has been set for Garbajosa's return and he will remain on the inactive list indefinitely. He broke a bone in his lower leg and dislocated his ankle while trying to block a shot in March. The injury ended his rookie season.

Abdur-Rahim had surgery on his right knee Friday and is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Claxton has yet to play this season because of his continuing struggles with knee soreness. Claxton is listed as day-to-day, but his return is uncertain.

10/10/2007 Etan Thomas, F/C (Was) Injury: Heart surgery - out indefinitely
Thomas, was cleared to practice for the first time since he had open-heart surgery in October. No timetable has been set for him to play in a game. After a routine preseason physical, Thomas was told surgery would be a good idea because of a leaky aortic valve. The biggest impediment to his return to practice had been concern over how much pounding he could take on his sternum, which was broken during the 4 1/2-hour operation.

10/6/2007 Sean May, PF (Cha) Injury: Right knee surgery - out for season
May is facing six to 12 months of rehabilitation after microfracture surgery on his right knee this week. May had the surgery Tuesday in New York. It involved drilling tiny holes in bones around the knee to try to stimulate cartilage growth. May will be on crutches for up to two months. The Bobcats are hopeful the procedure will allow May to play again in the 2008-09 season. The 13th pick in the 2005 draft, May has been limited 58 games in the past two seasons.

9/28/2007 Tony Battie, F/C (Orl) Injury: Left rotator cuff tear - out for season
Battie will likely undergo arthroscopic surgery on his partially torn rotator cuff and could miss the entire season according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Greg Oden, the top pick in this year's NBA draft, likely will miss his first season with the Portland Trail Blazers after surgery on his right knee Thursday.

Artest, along with Stephen Jackson, was suspended by the NBA on Saturday for the first seven games of next season because of their most recent legal problems.
